There was a time when I would live within the meaning of language. My focus was not on the language, it was on what the language meant to me.

Subconscious. [suhb-kon-shuh s] adjective. existing or operating in the mind beneath or beyond consciousness.

The environments of language. In different environments, language serves different purposes. Language in the gym with a coach. The language serves the purpose of provoking action.

Empathy. [em-puh-thee] Our capacity to feel with, not for. Empathy. Empowered by our own ability to feel within.

Parts versus the whole. A full being versus parts of a being. Our language can be “I am anxious” or a “part of me feels anxious.”
