How To Live In Alignment With Self

How to live in alignment with self

Self.

A place that we can live in alignment with.

Or not.

Self.

The sum total of values, beliefs, purpose, and biology.

The sum total of how we experience and navigate a business and a life.

We can live in alignment with the version of self that we see.

Or not.

I used to live in alignment with opportunity.

Alignment with what was opportune.

Or at least, opportunity as defined by my vague definition.

Years ago, I thought it was money.

Or “what the market wanted.”

I found and created such opportunity in 2008 after reading about “what 2009 would bring” from many thought leaders.

And I chased it.

Chased this opportune future.

I was aligned to opportunity more than myself.

I sacrificed who I was in the name of opportunity.

I sacrificed my health and my relationships in the name of opportunity.

I was not aligned to self.

I was aligned to opportunity.

When I saw this, and decided to change it, I changed how I existed.

I changed who I was being.

I learned to put myself before my version of opportunity.

My version of opportunity as defined by society’s common narrative.

To live in alignment with self, you must know self.

You must define the vision of self.

The values of self.

What self does and what self does not do.

Build this conviction.

I wonder what you are aligned to.

I enter high-stakes environments where outcomes matter and alter them. I use language to surface the root cause and technology to make it hold, turning chaos into clarity for leaders who refuse failure.
