Imagine with me. Imagine you are on a boat for the first time out at sea.

I hold one belief that gives meaning to everything I do. The belief is that self-awareness is powerful.

I have heard nearly everyone misuse this word. I’ve heard CEOs and entrepreneurs and leaders misuse this word.

There was a time where I did not understand this. I did not understand how I was teaching others about myself.

When I rewind my life and examine it, I see expectation. I see my younger self, often powerless, with expectation.
